Privacy Policy: Before and After Slider
Summary
Before and After Slider does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal
data. It has no servers, no database, no analytics, and no third-party trackers.
What the app does
Before and After Slider is a display widget. It shows two images that a site
owner has chosen and lets a visitor drag a divider to compare them. All of that
happens inside the visitor's own browser.
Information we collect from site visitors
None.
The widget:
- Does not set cookies
- Does not use local storage or session storage
- Does not run analytics or tracking of any kind
- Does not make network requests while the page is being viewed
- Does not read, collect, or transmit any information about the visitor
Because the widget stores nothing on a visitor's device and sends nothing
anywhere, there is no visitor data for us to access, retain, sell, or disclose.
Information we collect from site owners
None directly.
When a site owner adds the widget to a page, their settings (image addresses,
labels, aspect ratio, divider position, and optional button text and link) are
saved by Wix as part of that page's content. Those settings live in the site
owner's own Wix account under Wix's terms and privacy policy. We do not receive
a copy and cannot read them.
Installing the app from the Wix App Market creates an installation record held by
Wix. Wix may share standard app-installation information with us as the
developer, such as the fact that an installation exists. This is governed by
Wix's own privacy policy.
Images
The widget displays images from web addresses the site owner supplies. Those
images are typically hosted in the site owner's Wix Media Manager, and the
visitor's browser loads them directly from wherever they are hosted. We are not
involved in that request and never see it. Site owners are responsible for
holding the necessary rights to the images they display.
Cookies and consent
The app sets no cookies and uses no similar storage technology, so cookie
consent requirements do not apply to it. If a site displays a cookie banner for
other reasons, the widget continues to work normally whatever the visitor
chooses, because its behavior does not depend on storage.
Children's privacy
The app collects no data from anyone, including children under 13.
Third parties
We do not share data with third parties, because we do not collect any. The app
loads no third-party scripts, fonts, or services at runtime.
Changes to this policy
If the app ever gains a feature that changes any of the above, this page will be
updated before that feature ships, and the "last updated" date will change.
